Hip hop is firmly rooted in the dynamic relationship between musician (traditionally the DJ!) and dancer, with one pushing the other to create ever more challenging moves and more complex music.

Elusive Symmetry - hiphop dance, harp, guitar and beats, starring renowned dancer Lizzie Gough (Blaze, Some Like It Hip Hop, Take That Circus Tour, 2012 Olympics hiphop crew, BBC So You Think You Can Dance Finalist 2010 and currently judging Alesha's Street Dance Stars on CBBC).

Brand new for 2012, the complex graphic designs of M.C. Escher are pulled off the page and expressed through Lizzie's unique choreography, to original tracks performed live by international musicians Eleanor Turner and Alan Thomas.

Featuring Animations by Alice Lynch

Lizzie has choreographed solo hip-hop dance to Ellie and Alan's music - a fusion of contemporary, classical, hiphop and electronica. Read more about the show here.

Live Performances

The two live shows are on Fridays 10th and 24th February 2012 and will be an exciting culmination of months of experimenting and creating. Elusive Symmetry draws on the skills and strengths of the three artists. It is an explosion of music and dance from three creative minds who love to entertain and love to be different.

Elusive Symmetry has won an Inspire Professional Development Award from the Musicians Benevolent Fund. We are honoured and delighted to be supported by this award.
